SUMMER LEAGUE INFORMATION IS here!

Welcome to the new and improved home of Cougar Lacrosse!

Cougar Lacrosse is a nonprofit organization promoting the sport of lacrosse in the Edgewood City School District and surrounding communities. This is our inaugural year and we have already gotten quite a turnout. Please note that we are not a school sponsored sport, like football or baseball. Cougar Lacrosse is an independant club organization. If you have questions, you can contact us by going to our contacts page from the menu or click here to be redirected to our contacts page.

Lacrosse is America's oldest game, originating with Native Americans, formalized by the French, and adopted by millions. It is a great game, full of action, fast moves, incredible athletecism, and loads of excitement. You can check out the full history of lacrosse here.

Cougar Lacrosse is now accepting members in grades 6 - 11. We are gearing up to play in a summer league, with the ultimate goal being to play during the school season next spring. We want to get everyone as much game time as we can before stepping onto the field for the school season.

St. Ignatius Scrimmage
The scrimmage against St. Ignatius went very well. While we did not come away with a victory in either the boys or girls games, the athletes finally got a real taste for the game and began to become accustomed to the speed and pace of the matches. (more)

Home Field Watch
We are currently engaged with several organizations about securing a home field for the Spring 2009 season. (more)

Trenton Yard Sale!
We raised a lot of money at the Trenton Yard Sale thanks to the support of our community and athlete parents. A special thanks go out to Jim and Jayne Prushing for allowing us to use their parking lot as our site. Check back soon for additional community based fund raisers! (more)
